Cancer Support Community East Tennessee provides, at no charge, a wide-range of support services for people affected by cancer and their loved ones/caregivers in a comfortable, home-like setting. All programs are led by licensed professionals and are complementary to conventional medical treatment. Offerings are open to people with any type of cancer and at any stage of the cancer journey including: diagnosis, treatment, post treatment, survivorship, end-of-life and bereavement.
Programs are designed to enhance physical and emotional wellbeing as well as improve quality of life.

|Education||Workshops on oncology-related topics led by subject-matter experts.|
|Nutrition||Information, recipes and other healthful tips from a registered dietitian. Cooking demonstrations with easy recipes that anyone can prepare and enjoy.|

|Practice total body conditioning: gentle stretching, resistance training and low-impact aerobic exercises.|

|This yoga class is accessible to most everybody and offers all the benefits of a normal yoga class without getting up and down off of the ground.|
Fridays, noon – 1:00 p.m.
|Improve balance, flexibility and muscle strength with this gentle movement class. Qigong is a mind/body practice that has provided relaxation and soothing states of mind and body for centuries.|

|Yoga uses the body/mind connection for enhancing awareness and discovering our potential for wellness. Improve flexibility and strengthen muscles through gentle yoga poses.|
|Please check with your medical team before attending and kindly let your instructor know about your physical limitations or specific needs. Classes are suitable for those currently in treatment, recently post-treatment or primary support persons.|
|Stress Reduction: Mindfulness and Relaxtion Skills||Mindful tools and techniques to manage the stresses associated with cancer. In addition to our mindfulness classes and group offerings, we also have a number of free audio resources listed below.|
|Mindfulness in Everyday Life||Meditation Instructor Ann Pendley focuses on a different mindfulness topic each month. Check the Program Calendar for current dates and times!|
|Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Series (MBSR)||Dianne Lemieux, PhD hosts two series a year: an 8-week series offered in the winter and a 4-week series in the fall. Check the Program Calendar for current dates and times!|

|Kid Support||Programs designed to support the entire family through the challenges of cancer. CSCET’s Summer Fun Kids Camp and Family Fun Saturdays provide age-appropriate information along with coping strategies for school-aged children.
