How are CSC programs funded?
written by Beth Hamil, CSC Executive Director
People often ask how we are able to provide so many professional programs to people facing cancer and their loved ones, at no charge.
Since we do not charge for any services, we rely 100% on donations. 99% of all funds raised remain right here in East Tennessee providing support to our neighbors.*
Our dedicated board of directors and staff raise funds in a variety of ways:
Events – funds are raised through corporate and individual sponsorships, ticket sales and auction items
Artitude – A fun party and art auction held each spring at Cherokee Mills. This year’s event is on Friday, March 31. Tickets are only $50. Learn more here.
Celebrating the Art of Survivorship – Our annual Fall Luncheon and Silent Auction will be held on October 18. Terri Tate, head and neck cancer survivor and author of A Crooked Smile, is this year’s featured speaker.
Community Events – Unique events in collaboration with community partners such as Blue Ridge Yoga, Sweet Pea, Oak Ridge Firefighter’s Association, Est8te, and Blackhorse Pub & Brewery.
